What is a Home Information pack
Included in a HIP is a sale statement, local searches and evidence of title – giving essential information to people who may wish to buy your house. The Pack also includes an Energy Performance Certificate that contains advice on how to cut CO2 emissions and fuel bills.

How do I get a HIP
You can pay by credit/debit card, send us a cheque or BACS payment or use our deferred payment option. The deferred payment option enables you to defer payment for your HIP until the sale of your property or for nine months whichever is sooner.

When can I start to market my property?
The HIP must be available and contain at least the following documents on the first day a property is put on the market:
Home Information Pack Index Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ) - Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) or Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) - Sustainability Information (required for newly built homes) – Sale statement – Evidence of title

How long does it take?
If you pay by card, your order will normally go into production immediately. We will email you to confirm that this has happened. Your HIP should be complete in 7 to 14 days from receipt of payment.
If there is a delay in obtaining the EPC or PEA then marketing may commence 14 days from when the HIP was

Is the HIP printed?
As standard, we will send you your HIP as an attachment to an email (a PDF file). You can then forward this electronically to your estate agent and/or prospective buyers. We can also send you a bound paper copy or a copy on a USB stick or CD at a cost of £10 plus vat each.

1. Prices for Home information packs are subject to change at anytime.
   
2. These prices are applicable where payment is made by Debit Card, Cheque or BACS.
   
3. Credit Card payments are subject to a surcharge of 2% + VAT.
   
4. Payment can also be deferred for 9 months subject to an additional charge.
   
5. Please note our service commences immediately on receipt of payment and that the money paid is strictly non-refundable. Click here to view our full Terms & Conditions.
   
6. Although we use reasonable endeavours to ensure this quote is accurate, it should be regarded as indicative only since all information on which we base your quote (for example the nature of the property's title) is provided to us by you and third parties and we cannot and do not undertake to verify each and every item of information before producing the quote.
   
7. If the cost of providing the HIP will be more than this quote, we will contact you to obtain your authority to proceed with the service at the additional cost. If you do not wish us to proceed at the additional cost we will provide you with the incomplete HIP at the price of this quote for you to complete as you wish.
